The sewing calendar 2010 project

Tutorial by Missy Ballance

End of February !! I already accomplished 15% of the calendar !! This project did not really inspire me … I dont know anyone who would need a tooth fairy pillow, so Β I wasn’t highly motivated …. I’m not sure about the result, but I did it, and that’s the main point !

The pillow doesn’t look like a fluffy pillow : I don’t have anything to stuff anymore. I used some batting instead.

Here are the pictures:

I finally uploaded the pictures πŸ™‚

So, as I said, it was an easy project : clear tutorial, easy pattern and useful item.

I did the pillowcase for my son.I think I will try another one with some extra fabric on the open side, so I can “close” the cover.

I used an inflatable pillow from Air Canada πŸ˜‰

I did it πŸ™‚ I had a friend visiting me this week-end so I didn’t have so much time for sewing, but I did it !!! I also finished the next project and began the following one. The only issue is that you will have to trus me for now … I have the pictures on my camera but I am too lazy tonight to upload them ….

The tutorial was easy, clear and great ! The pillowcase looks just like a pillowcase! I did it for my son, with a nice flannel fabric, full of cars πŸ™‚ Pictures are coming soon, I promise πŸ™‚

One month already! So far so good I guess …

For the ones who own the calendar, you know exactly what I will show you next, but for most of my readers (do I have many readers?) I think it’s every time a surprise.

As you probably already figured out, there are projects due on Wednesdays and Sundays, every week. Β The last project for January will be a Tin Can Cover. Then, February projects will begin. As you can imagine, lots of them will be about Valentine ‘s day !

Here is what I will create next month:
– Matyroshka Doll Pocket Pillow
– Simple Pillowcase
– Tea towel Apron (sonsporized by Kris, a friend !)
– Heartfelt Quilt Card
– Heart Window Mobile
– Patchwork Drawstring bag
– Pacifier Pouch
– Tooth Fairy Pillow

I think that the most challenging ones will be the Mobile and the Patchwork bag.
