Tutorial by Sarah Mikkelsen

I’m late for this project : my son was sick and I didn’thave time to work on it earlier. My son is actually still sick, so I had to take a day off from work. I did this project during his nap and I did it for him !

I was not as careful as Sarah was: I didn’t sew the ribbons first. I just pined them on the first fabric, put the second one on top and sewed everything together, on the wrong side. I just left an opening, returned to the right side and removed the pins. Finally, I seamed all over again and that’s it !

What do you think? The pattern will match the stuffed animal (elephant) I did for my baby a few months ago πŸ˜‰

Ok, Ok. I will be short … I didn’t like the project on paper. I tried, without any motivation, and the result looks bad .. of course. So far the worst project I ever did.

Don’t make fun of me, I will still put the pictures on …

The preparation :

The result : I didn’ t even finish the edges …. The mat is now in the garage, waiting for Β me to decide when to trash it …

I have to be honest .. If I could have skipped a project, I guess this would have been it … On paper, it seemed a useless project, kind of expensive and totally boring … I went to Michaels to look for all the supplies and I got some good deals ! I didn’t use beads or pearls but pom-poms instead. I have to admit that I ended up having fun, which is the reason why I won’t skip any project, even if it doesn’t look great on paper.

I hung it on the wall, not in front of a window but it still looks OK. I finished it for Valentine’s day. I won’t keep it on my wall for a long time but this is a good wa to decorate a room for cheap !

And now the pictures πŸ™‚

I finally uploaded the pictures πŸ™‚

So, as I said, it was an easy project : clear tutorial, easy pattern and useful item.

I did the pillowcase for my son.I think I will try another one with some extra fabric on the open side, so I can “close” the cover.

I used an inflatable pillow from Air Canada πŸ˜‰

What do you think?

Tutorial by Rachael Dorr

I did it πŸ™‚ I had a friend visiting me this week-end so I didn’t have so much time for sewing, but I did it !!! I also finished the next project and began the following one. The only issue is that you will have to trus me for now … I have the pictures on my camera but I am too lazy tonight to upload them ….

The tutorial was easy, clear and great ! The pillowcase looks just like a pillowcase! I did it for my son, with a nice flannel fabric, full of cars πŸ™‚ Pictures are coming soon, I promise πŸ™‚

Ok, I have to admit that I never quilted anything before because I’m not a big quilting fan. I also have to admit that I didn’t have so much timp the first coaster by putting the triangles in the wrong directions. The other ones could have been worse πŸ˜‰ … but could have been better too !

Here is my result !
